The Latest in the “Sometimes Life Just Isn’t Fair” Department

The Los Angeles Times reports that seventeen-year-old Kylie Jenner, spawn of Bruce (soon to be Brucina) and Kris (daughter of the devil himself) Jenner has spent $2.6 million to purchase a home in southern California. As described by the Times,

Built in 2006, the 4,851-square-foot two-story seems to have it all — living, family and dining rooms, two-built-in entertainment centers, a library/study, a breakfast bar, a bonus room, five bedrooms and six bathrooms. A solar electric system provides power.

There’s also a courtyard and a three-car garage.

Outdoor amenities include a covered patio with a 26-foot-long dining table, a barbecue center and a swimming pool with a spa.

As far as The Curmudgeon knows, the only thing young Kylie has done to earn the kind of money you need to buy a $2.6 million house is to sit sulkily on sofas while cameras capture the antics of her three half-sisters – Regan, Goneril, and Cordelia – who collectively may offer the most persuasive argument on behalf of birth control that we’ve encountered in many a year.

Since he knows you’re curious, The Curmudgeon invites you to view young Kylie’s new home here.

Mudge: the 189 words you devoted to this “story” could have been devoted to much more important topics…like the Brigantine beach tag brigade, the mayor of Marlton…oh, geez, I’m listing your greatest hits! Please…can you take a pledge to “cease and desist” from ruminating on anything Kardashian-related? I’ll sleep better tonight…

I’ll bet conservative Republicans are just plain happy for her and believe she deserves her mansion. After celebrating her wealth, they’ll get back to the really important stuff of life…denying social security and welfare benefits. It’s frightening what the bigger picture is and how shallow the values of our society happen to be.

Check this space on Friday for an unusual perspective on that very idea (and NOT based on a Kardashian).

In this scenario, is Bruce King Lear? More likely Kris, huh?

Your choice. I was going to suggest that the play was “King Lear,” not “Queen Lear,” but, well…
