I am so frustrated with friends of mine who truly believe he is a viable candidate for president. They don’t defend his ridiculous outbursts, they deflect by throwing out a Hillary meme. Educated people believe in this guy! I consider myself to be open-minded and I listen to others’ opinions. But the things my friends have been saying about him, the Obamas, and Hillary seriously have me questioning my choice in friends.

I agree that it can be tough when people you like and respect have a few you find so thoroughly unacceptable – and repugnant.

I agree. Very difficult, because Trump’s values seem so misaligned with those I believe my friends ascribe to — I find myself feeling quite the “church lady” about it. Alas, I’m unplugging a bit this week (reading Mudgie is one of the few exceptions) so I find myself feeling more at peace.
