That’s black gold, Texas tea, for Rex Tillerson, Donald Trump’s nominee to be Secretary of State.
Yesterday we learn that his parting gifts from Exxon, where he spent his entire career, will add up to $180 million.
That’s $180 million.
Which sure beats a gold watch.
But also leaves you wondering where his loyalties will be when he’s running around the world negotiating war and peace and all those other things on our behalf. What will be more important to him: the welfare of the American people, promoting world peace, or ensuring access to middle east oil fields for his oil industry benefactor and its friends?
