Probably Not a Coincidence

The Curmudgeon recently ran across a list of movies new or returning to Netflix and noticed the George Clooney movie Michael Clayton among them.

Clayton, you may recall, worked for a law firm but didn’t really practice law. No, he was what’s known as a fixer and he just happened to be a lawyer.

It hardly seems like a coincidence that Netflix would bring back a movie about a lawyer who’s a fixer when the news is filled with stories about Michael Cohen, the lawyer who works for President Trump and who is, by all appearances, a fixer who works for Agent Orange who just happens to be a lawyer.

Yet another example of life imitating art, although its origins are probably in art imitating life.

Or something like that.
